Coming Back to Calm: A Day Retreat for the Nervous System

with Trina Truong

Plan for a restorative day of gentle movement, sitting and walking meditation, and grounding Dharma to provide a refuge from overwhelm and stress.

Join Trina Truong for a day of stopping and resting. Experience the nourishment of non-doing. Be held in a loving and gentle container. Be in the presence of Dharma friends practicing with you and the guidance of a teacher. Cultivate the energy of calm that listens and honors our need to take care of ourselves while practicing mindfulness and lovingkindness to our body, heart and mind.

Bring your own cushion and a yoga mat if you want to have the option to lie down. Bring a dish to share or pack your own lunch. We will practice mindful eating. If the weather is nice, there is the option to practice in the courtyard.  Food can be stored in the cafeteria fridge or cooler.

Saturday Sangha

Offered by diverse lineage of teachers from various Buddhist traditions

Every Saturday at 4:30PM PT | Held In-Person & Online | 4312 SE Stark St, Portland OR

During this time, we are called to return to our place of practice more than ever. We return to our community of like-minded friends to recall our inner and outer resources, cultivating mindfulness and lovingkindness for the possibility of peace and liberation.

Our environment is one of exploration of the many ways to reach one’s spiritual aspiration of true liberation. We do not adhere to one lineage, and we do not have a single spiritual leader. We have three core teachers, as well as rotating teachers from many Buddhist traditions, who come and share their teachings and meditation practices.

Neuro Sangha

Lead Facilitator: Monte Bassow

Every 2nd & 4th Tuesdays from 7-8PM PT | Meeting Online via Zoom

What is Neuro Sangha - A space for neurodiverse folk to connect online through mindfulness, in ways respectful of our different manners of thinking and being. We embrace and respect a wide variety of neurodivergence and aim to be a refuge for brains that work differently from what society expects.

Typical meetings include two non-guided 10-minute meditations (need not be sitting), sharing our meditation experience, and exploring different meditation practices.

As we grow, we expect that format will change as we get input from participants.
