an inclusive community exploring mindfulness

Welcome to Pacific Northwest Meditation! We believe that practicing meditation and mindfulness together can help us connect more fully to a multitude of  shared human experiences, and help us view ourselves and others in new ways. We welcome and learn from all races, ethnicities, cultures, physical/cognitive abilities, ages, genders and identities. PNWM endeavors to be an anti-racist and accessible community that removes barriers to engagement. Come to still the body and calm the mind.

Saturday Sangha

October 19 & 26

Nelly Kaufer is the founder and lead teacher at Pine Street Sangha. As a long-time lesbian, she understands the dominance of patriarchal influences in the way Buddhism is taught. She has created a more “feministic” approach utilized in her teaching style.

Ofosu Jones-Quartey, also known as Born I, is a mindfulness teacher, author, and hip-hop artist whose work lives at the intersection of music and meditation. He is the author of Lyrical Dharma: Hip-Hop as Mindfulness and the creator of immersive Hip-Hop Soundbath experiences that blend contemplative practice with live performance. Through his teachings, writing, and music, he invites audiences into presence, self-compassion, and creative awakening, offering accessible pathways toward healing and inner freedom.
